Passionate About Inspiring Others

Throughout my years of teaching, I have developed a variety of teaching techniques that incorporates real-world knowledge with educational learning that will prepared individuals for life changing careers in any field. Several of my teaching techniques can inspire individuals by utilizing multi-media, white-board, universal research, and story-telling that will enhance individual ability to comprehend different systems which would allow anyone to have a better grasp on how they operate. My extended expertise, experience, and knowledge in systemic policies, procedures, law enforcement administration, corrections, and Homeland Security comes in hand as a federal law enforcement officer for the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons since July 2006.

As an Administrative Officer, I instruct law enforcement techniques and protocol to new recruits within the Federal Bureau of Prisons that can be utilized within the classroom setting as real-world experience. I also instruct First-Aid/CPR/AED classes as the lead instructor with the American Heart Association in saving lives. Other expertise that I have obtain is a 92Y Army Instructor, for the Kansas Army National Guard with over 27 years of military services since November 1995. This allows me to display other teaching skills that can be beneficial and used in today environment.

During my days off, I take the time to instruct Martial Arts Self Defense classes in the use of hand-to-hand combative to military and civilian personnel. Also, being an Adjunct Instructor for Metropolitan Community College, Kansas City Kansas Community College, University of Phoenix and Heald College, it allows me to expand my teaching techniques within the field of education, communication, criminal law, courts procedures, corrections and prison systems since April 2010.

With years of experience and expertise in the field of corrections and teaching for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and several universities, I believe that I have potential in teaching individuals on how to gain an insight in the field of law enforcement, the court systems, and corrections which would allow them to continue their enthusiasm in life. This in turn will allow anyone to become worthy candidates for future careers in any field for employment.

As part of my education, I have many years of knowledge that goes hand to hand with my experience in the field of corrections. I was awarded an Honorary Ph.D. from the International Doctor of Philosophy in Martial Science (Honoris Causa) International University of San Diego in June 2011. I completed my doctrine degree in the field of Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University on March 2016. A master's degree from Chaminade University in Criminal Justice Administration (MSCJA) with a Concentration in Homeland Security Leadership Certification in Dec 2009. A Bachelor of Science in Criminology & Criminal Justice from Chaminade University in June 2007, and an Associate of Applied Science in Criminology & Criminal Justice from Chaminade University in Dec 2005. With all this under my belt, there is always room to learn more from others and from everyday life in enhancing my teaching abilities as I look forward in being part of your journey in advancing your personal goals.
